A transformation of the attraction industry; adapting to a brand-new world

Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) in partnership with Singapore Discovery Centre launched the Singapore Discovery Centre Start-up Innovation Challenge to catalyse innovative technology adoption in the areas of Immersive Experiences, Smart Spaces and Sustainability.

This is in line with Singapore Discovery Centre’s support of innovation and to collaborate with local start-ups community on proof-of-concept solutions that could bring impactful solutions to better engage visitors.  Winners will bag cash and contract prize of up to SGD$250,000 for the prototype development of the solution.

The Challenge welcomes proposals that address any of the three themes – Immersive Experiences, Smart Spaces, and Sustainability – that help meet the evolving needs of the attraction industry especially in the new post Covid-19 world. The Challenge aims to identify and work with high potential start-up companies with emerging technologies which can open new possibilities, fuel original innovations and technology adoption for Singapore Discovery Centre.

ACE is The National Voice for Singapore Startup Ecosystem. ACE focuses on five pillars that are crucial for any ecosystem: Startups, Corporations, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), Risk Capital, and Public Sector. As the driving force that brought Singapore to be The Innovation Island it is today, ACE has created a virtual and physical space where ideas, knowledge, and capability are transformed into value efficiently.

The Challenge accepts online entries of proposed solutions. Following the entry period, five finalists will be chosen for the final pitch which we will be held on the Challenge Day on 10 December 2020. There will also be additional opportunities to showcase their technology for exposure and potential technology adoption in the industry.
